Update 5.3 was an Update in Head Soccer. On September 20, 2016, D&D Dream announced that only the African country Madagascar will get added.[1] On September 30, D&D Dream announced that the Update is delayed for 1 or 2 days. This ended up being untrue and the update took more time. They also announced that they would launch a new game called Head Basketball. [2] [3] On October 1, a preview video about the update was released. Madagascar and his air and ground shot were previewed. [4] It was released on October 4, 2016. [5]

- It's along Update 6.1 and Update 6.2, the only update where only one character was added. Also, both characters from 5.3 and 6.1 (Madagascar and Boxing) are meant to be supporting characters for the games Head Basketball and Head Boxing.
- This was the first update since Update 2.3 where an African Character was added.
