Oppose.png Oppose- Okay, first I want to say that this discussion came out of nowhere. On a normal Saturday, you ask us for our opinions about the anonymous users. I won't say that this is bad, but it honestly was quite surprising for me. I didn't saw this as a something that had a high priority to be discussed. It took me some time before I could finally decide what to vote, that's why my vote wasn't very fast. I see until now, all users on this thread agreed with doing this. Almost all of you didn't gave any opinion for your support. I'm not saying that it was bad from you, it's just that I wanted to hear an opinion that could convince me to also support this, but that wasn't the case. Okay now lets go to the reason why I oppose. I know almost all of the anonymous users vandalize pages and there are barely good edits by them. That's the only reason I see to support this, but it still doesn't completely convinces me. We can easily rollback all the bad edits they do. Disabling anonymous users will only lead to giving us some less work. When I see an an edit by an anonymous user, I honestly always check if it was a good edit. With disabling them to be able to edit, we (I think you think the same about it as me) will give us less work by undoing bad edits. It's very easy to rollback or undo an edit, so I don't see this as a very good reason to support. It's a reason that's right, but I have never had a problem with it. Another point why I oppose, is that our wiki already isn't that active and with disabling fandom users, it will become even less active. And yes, they can create an account, but I think that almost everybody starts with being an anonymous users and finds out himself that it's better to have an account, as you can do a lot more with it. It will lead to these two things: the wiki becoming less active and the chance smaller that users will stay at this wiki. When you are not able to edit, you don't see a reason to help this wiki. This wiki needs to have random people that like Head Soccer and come on it to help. When you don't have fandom users to be able to edit, they will just look here and leave it because they can't do anything it. Some of them might know that you need to create an account (I'm sure about that), but not all will have that and with being able as anonymous user to edit, they have a higher chance to stay here. We don't have a wiki where we get very easy users. That's why I think disabling fandom users on a small wiki like this, will only lead more disadvantages than advantages. If we had a wiki that got easily new users, I probably would have supported anyway, but that's not how it is. These are not the only reasons why I oppose. Another point I have is that we already disabled the anonymous users before and it didn't made the wiki better on any way. Maybe only like I said earlier, there was less vandalism. I'm not really thinking of doing it again, but if you want (as everybody is supporting) we can try it out and you all can see it. But for me, it is clearly an oppose. After thinking about all these points (which I did today), I came on this conclusion. I also want to say another point that is less important but still something I would like to say: anonymous users will also not be able to create ideas anymore, which I think they should be able to do that. They have to create an account to be able to do that and it's not a good thing. Lastly, I think it is a bit unfair if my vote counts as two, I'm just part of this community and have my own opinion. Most of you will probably disagree with me, so I think my vote should only count even that much as your votes. I hope to be able to change your mind a bit with my points, but I understand it if you keep supporting. I just wanted to bring it under attention. That's it.
